...In 1969 the first man walked on the moon. Can you imagine??? NOT more then 35 years ago???
How things have changed, since then??? The world has become a smaller place......hasn't it????
We talk and make friends GLOBALLY through our age of computers YET we don't know our neighbours names? Never call our relatives?? Rarely see our families.
Perhaps that's why movies and books like "LORD of the RINGS" are so popular?? They take us back (although fictional), to a time ....not so way back....to a time when commitment, friendship, fellowship, goodness and simplicity was worth fighting for, and preserving!!!
When was this??
Well it's a time NOT that long ago really....
...a time when neighbours knew each other by name. A time when every greeting was with a handshake, a hug, or a kiss. A time when people visited friends and relatives. Just think back, to when you were a kid, and i'm sure you'll smile , remembering how those times were not that far off, and how simpler those times were.
Perhaps that's why dog training for us is sooooo appealing?? It allows us to see these things which we so desparately miss in our lives?
A dog gives us commitment, friendship, fellowship, goodness and simplicity.
This Holiday Season....
....lets try and take a step back away from our dogs and sheltered lives, and live life the way we truly want too, and in the process ...who knows....maybe we'll not only smile when we think back at our past...we'll also continue to smile everyday, and into our future.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
