hi
if you dont mind i want to tell you something.
i love animals, i sympatise with peta (not in all subjects).
i growned up thinking peta defended animals, some time ago i found out your opinion about pitbulls.
i became disapointed from an animal activist group
that suports irradication a breed of dogs(pitbull).
i thought that you defended animails and pitbulls
are dogs used by men, they suffer alot in the hands of theire own owners (the proof
http://www.pitbullsontheweb.com/petbull/badowners.html )
please take some time and visit the site.
to be short, i have apitbull type( amstaff), im against dogfights and dogs agrressivity, i took a baby dog and teached her to obey and dont allow her to be agressif to animals or people, but im seen as criminal, my dog has to be muzzled, proof, i was with my female amstaff in face of agressive or dominant dog, grouling at mine and mine not even got mad, she wanted to play....(my dog never atacked an other dog and which dogs is dangerous in this case?
i agree thatif pitbulls bite a dog or person ( it shouldnt happen) lets punish the owner, no? who has the brains and can make or avoid an atack?how is responsable for the dog?
i could give you thousands of exemples of injustice but i dont want to take a lot of time but i ask you to visit the above site link that i gave you and to have a imparcial look over pitbulls because i think that you dont know what is a pitbull and how much they suffer by the hands of, their owners, the victimes of the owners, the media, the gouvernements, they are not only killing machines, the can be very good like any dog... all or most of pitbull attacks are from chained and poorly socialized dogs, guard dogs, dogs teached to attack, in this conditions any dog can be dangerous, right?
since my father died one of this killing machines has gaven me a big help to get out of depression and gave will to live, she is the love of my life and having someone saying me that my dog is dangerous and can kill, bla bla without seeing my dog, that never heard about my dog, without complaints against my dog ???
(exemple: im in france and here pitbull are not allowed and amstaffs are in lists too, 1 day walking the dog, she had a frisbee in the mouth and could not even walk right because she could no see and everybody smiling in the streets hehe) the police stopped me, told me to muzzle the dog ...
i told that my dog is nice..to defend themselfs one of them told me, "we have to protect the children"
well in france every week 3 children die from parental abuse,
and i have to muzzle my dog to prevent a bite that wount exist? or can hapen 1 in a milion....
to be more precise, the breed that bites the most in france are labrators, german shepands ... pitbulls and amstaffs attacks are almost non existents, when they happen its allways the owners irresponsable action that is the cause of acident( like unleashed and unmuzzled dog attaking lil girl in elevator, why the dogs was not muzzled or minimum a leash?? why in this conditions did the father of the girl got in the elevatorif is daughter?? in my opinion both parent and dog owner are responsable)
i guess you understound me, if not i resume " punish the deed not the breed" or "owners are the responsables for their dogs"
thank you for your time
and feedback to coment my mail please

Than you for sharing your concern about PETA’s position on pit bulls. Please be assured that PETA does not believe that pit bulls living in good homes should be removed and euthanized. We support bans on breeding pit bulls (as, indeed, we would support bans on breeding any breed of dog, given the tragic overpopulation crisis that is resulting in millions of unwanted animals being abandoned and killed every year). However, we fell such bans should include a grandfather clause protecting spayed and neutered pit bulls living in caring homes.
PETA also supports shelters that have a policy against adopting out pit bulls, knowing that they enact such policies out of fear for the dogs’ safety. We understand that some shelters, particularly those in areas where dogfighting is common, feel the risk is too great that pit bulls might be stolen or otherwise fall into the hands of people who would harm them simply because of their breed.
I hope this has helped explain PETA’s position. Thanks again for your feedback and for your concern for animals.
Sincerely,
PETA Staff
por eles nem haviam criadores nem raças, so cães para adopção....
